This year, the Corks & Forks Gala Committee recognizes Stephen W. George, MD, as recipient of the Medical Honoree Award for his outstanding work in the battle against arthritis. Dr. George practices at Arthritis Care Specialists of Maryland, located in Ellicott City, MD since 1991.  Over the last 20 years, he has treated patients from the greater Baltimore and central Maryland region, as well as patients from Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Washington, DC, and Delaware.

Stephen W. George, MD (adult & pediatric rheumatology) graduated from University of Maryland Medical School  in 1986 and completed his Residency/Fellowship at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania.  He has been board certified in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Adult Rheumatology, and Pediatric Rheumatology. In addition to his practice, Dr. George is an Assistant Professor in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine and the head of the Pediatric Rheumatology Clinic at University of Maryland since 1996.
