Purses with Power is a “girls night out” themed event where attendees come together to network, socialize and shop while supporting a worthy cause and spreading awareness around arthritis. After 8 years of great success in other areas of our region, we are excited to introduce this event to the Washington, DC community. Set for Thursday, November 8th, The 1st Annual “Metropolitan DC Purses with Power” Auction & Social will be held at the sleek, modern and chic Haworth Showroom at Terrell Place in DC’s Penn Quarter.
The night is comprised of cocktails and light refreshments, a silent auction, giveaways and other fun festivities. The goal for this event is $25,000 and with support from organizations like yours, Purses with Power is sure to make a grand introduction to the DC social scene while reaching our goal. We anticipate this event to attract over 150 first time participants, spreading awareness to a new market while raising critical funds for arthritis research, programs and education.

Affecting women nearly twice as often as men, arthritis is the leading cause of disability in the United States. It is a health care issue. It is a business issue. It is a community issue. The Arthritis Foundation works to minimize the social impact of arthritis through advocacy, awareness, programs and research. We support nearly 50 million adults and 300,000 children currently living with arthritis.
We sincerely hope you will consider partnering with The Arthritis Foundation this year. All proceeds from this event will go to arthritis research and community programs in the Mid Atlantic Region. Helping us spread awareness while furthering our mission to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related diseases.
